Dr. Garzon received his Doctor of Optometry Degree from La Salle University in 2001 and began practicing Optometry in Colombia, before moving to Canada in 2008. He successfully completed the International Optometric Bridging Program at the University of Waterloo – School of Optometry and is Board Certified by the College of Optometrists of Ontario.
After more than 15 years of practicing Optometry, Dr. Garzon’s primary areas of interest include pediatrics, contact lenses (rigid gas permeable contact lens fit), diabetic eye disease and glaucoma. He enjoys spending time with his patients, getting to know them and their individual vision needs. Patients have shared that they appreciate the time Dr. Garzon takes with them, and the education provided about the importance of ocular health.
Preventative eye care and advocating for annual eye examinations, particularly among children, is the cornerstone of his practice.
Dr. Garzon is an active member of both the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
